T-Shirt Designs for the Masses

Makers, Do-ers, DIYers, and others just interested in cool shirts:

We are working on developing some t-shirts for Knox Makers.  We want to be able to display our nerdish pride with some cool shirts.  Here are some designs that our most awesome Creative Director has come up with.  All of the designs are focused on two-color fronts, with branding on the back.  We have a shirt idea for a simple logo front, but we think that's a simple enough shirt idea that we should just get up off our duffs and print them ourselves if we want that.  The goal is that we find a shirt design that we like, we'll take some pre-orders for folks that are interested, and have some leftover shirts that we can sell to visitors and/or at our fundraising events.  Check out the design ideas and vote for your favorites below.

3D Printing Colloquium: Tue, Jan 21 @ 7PM

Let's get together on Tuesday evening to brainstorm, strategize and plan a series of 3D printing workshops!
We're interested in putting together sessions with the broadest appeal possible. Regardless of your skill level, whether you're a potential instructor or a potential participant, your input will be valuable.
Issac will be bringing his printer for inspiration; you're encouraged to bring yours, as well!

Material Storage Rack

In part of our ongoing attempts and organizing our hackerspace for more effective storage and usage, we've been working on making a material storage rack.  As you may recall, we've had materials sort of piled up in the corner.  Here is what it looked like after we started cleaning up a bit and said "Hey, we should take some before pictures."

Tuesday Discussion Follow-up

For those that weren't able to attend, here is a recap of the stuff that we talked about, along with some brief descriptions.  First, we talked about things that we're doing well, and these are the things that were volunteered from our participating audience, which was sizeable, and included several folks we haven't seen in a while.
Things Knox Makers Does Well:

Hackerspace of the Future! 12/3/13 @ 6:30PM

Ok, so that's a bold title, but it's the idea for Tuesday's meeting.  We'll use this week as on opportunity to get together and talk a bit about the current state of Knox Makers and what it means to us.  We want to get a lot of different viewpoints and perspectives, so we encourage everyone to attend.  Also, more in line with the title of this post, we also want to spend some time talking about what everyone expects to get from their involvement with Knox Makers, and how we need to evolve the organization in the future to meet the needs of everyone involved.

Adan is taking point on this one and has requested extra audience participation, so not only should you bring a few keys, but also any key related hacks you would like to share.

So keys are way oldschool and we all should be ashamed to use them. And of course our lockpicky skillz make them extra irrelevant.
